Billy Wayne McDonald

Billy W. McDonald, age 71, was born in Hollandale, MS and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died June 26, 2021 at Thomas Hospital.   He received a Business Management Certificate from Belhaven College.  He worked most of his life in aviation.  He previously lived in Jackson, MS and Laurel Mountain, NC before moving to Bay Minette, AL in 2005 He also worked as a 1st Class Machinist at BAE Shipbuilding in Mobile.

He is survived by his wife, Marian D. McDonald, Bay Minette, AL brother, Arlen L. McDonald, Charlotte, NC, sister- in-law Evie R. Adams (Kenneth), Bay Minette, AL, brothers- in- law, Grover H. Roberts, Bay Minette, AL and Timothy Ponce, New Orleans, LA along with numerous nieces and nephews.   

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Carl and Eloise McDonald of Hollandale, MS, his sisters-in law, Karen McDonald, Boone, NC, Annie Ponce, New Orleans, LA and Jene Cho, Bay Minette, AL.

Graveside Services will be held Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Spanish Fort, AL.   

Billy loved and spoiled his dogs.  His last three dogs, Sweetie, Susie, and Bo, came from the North Baldwin Animal Shelter. Susie competed with Billy for his recliner.   In lieu of flowers, please send a contribution to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 190, Bay Minette, AL  36507.
