Betty Jean "Jeannie" (Phillipy) Edwards

Betty Jean “Jeannie” Edwards, age 78, born in Mobile, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Thomas Hospital. She was a retired date entry clerk for the Mobile Press Register.

She is survived by her husband, John H. Edwards of Bay Minette, AL; one son, Shannon D. (Sherry) Steadham of Creola, AL; one daughter, Sonya L. Moody of Kimberly, AL; one brother, Wayne (Patricia) Phillipy of White House Fork; four grandchildren, Micah Steadham, Ethan (Jessica) Steadham, Erica (Justin) Moody and Erin Moody and two great grandchildren, Kamden Steadham and Kalem Steadham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aubry and Lois Hammond Phillipy and a son-in-law, Eric Moody.

Funeral services will be held Monday, March 17, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Chester Clark officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 17, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.
