Betty Rachel (Jordan) Childs

Betty Rachel Childs, age 70, born in Crenshaw County, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Mobile Infirmary. She was a retired dental hygienist at Tillery and Tyrrell for over 30 years. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ for 47 years.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jerry Childs of Bay Minette, AL; two sons, Scott (Jacqueline) Childs of Bay Minette, AL and Josh (Kara) Childs of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Beth Childs of Pensacola, FL; two brothers, David Jordan and Gary Jordan both of Luverne, AL; one sister, Carole Dillon of Luverne, AL; six grandchildren, Cade, Hailey, Zac, Lindsey, Easton and Mary Evelyn and two great grandchildren, Hunter and Colt.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Jesse Ray Jordan and George Edward Jordan and her parents, George Alex and Mary Evelyn Boling Jordan.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 12, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Minister Bob Fetters officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 12, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nickie Jordan, Trace Jordan, Alec Jordan, Michael Jordan, Shane Dillon and Mark Lett.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to 14th Street Church of Christ, P.O. Box 694, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
