Belle Luverne (Weekley) Mitchem

Belle Luverne Weekley Mitchem, age 84, born in the Dyas Community and a resident of Perdido, AL died Friday, August 8, 2025 at her residence. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her children, Vanessa D.  Mitchem of Perdido, AL and Nancy L. (Glen) Wallace of Bay Minette, AL and two granddaughters, Valerie D. Rangel of Atmore, AL and Mackenzie Wallace of Bay Minette, AL.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew Mitchem, Jr.; a son, Michael Ray Mitchem; a granddaughter, Kristen D. Wallace; two brothers, Bill Weekley and Roy Weekley and five sisters, Gracie Smith, Edna Hadley, Annie Mae Mitchem, Vera Weekley and Dorothy Wilson.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 9, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Windell Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at Perdido Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 9, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until the 2:00 p.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
