Annette (Newton) McKissack

Annette Newton McKissack, age 83 years young, born in Georgiana, AL and resident of Rabun passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, April 27, 2022. She was retired from Dental-EZ.

She is survived by her twin daughters, Regina Sprinkle and Rhonda Akins both of Bay Minette, AL; her grandchildren, Nicole Akins and Cameron Boyington; great grandchildren, Symonie Wasden, Skyler Wasden, Andi McKissack and Abby McKissack and one great great grandchild, Braylee Wasden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Loree Barlow Newton; a sister, Marion Thomas; a brother, Donald Newton and a grandson, Jeremy McKissack.

Graveside services and burial will be held Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery with Reverend J.P. Lambert officiating.

Pallbearers will be Skyler Wasden, Cameron Boyington, Caleb Powell, Thomas Sprinkle, Ronnie Weaver and Lee Newton. Alternate pallbearer will be Harold Bryars.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the North Baldwin Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 190, Bay Minette, AL 36507 or to Cancer Research.
