Ann (Perkins) Welch

Ann Welch, age 83, passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, August 26, 2025 surrounded by her family. Ann was truly a child of God and wanted her life and testimony to always reflect the goodness of God. She was a nurse and caregiver throughout her entire life, never did she fail to show compassion to anyone. Ann lived her life full of joy and excitement for family and will always be remembered for her words, kindness, humor and deep unconditional love for family. She spent her days praying, studying the Bible and listening to southern gospel music.

She is survived by her children, Charles Stephen Welch of Mobile, AL, Darlene (Duane) Homan of Bay Minette, AL, Sherry (Lee) Meynard of Bay Minette, AL and Kay (Bud) Shaver of Phenix City, AL; five grandchildren, Brandon Langham, Derek Homan, Jacob Welch, Kristi Creel and Stephanie Shaver and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Manford Floyd Welch; a grandson, B.J. Langham, Jr.; her parents, G.W. and Evie Bradford Perkins and all of her siblings.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 30, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Vision Ministries Church of God, 47861 Rabun Road, Bay Minette, AL 36507 with Bishop Alan Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 30, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until the 1:00 p.m. at Vision Ministries Church of God.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Langham, Derek Homan, Jacob Welch, Duane Homan, Lee Meynard and Bud Shaver.
