Reverend Angelo Thomley, age 78, born in Perdido, AL and a resident of Lottie died Thursday, June 1, 2023 at his residence. He was a retired operator at Chemtura Chemical, an ordained minister since 1980 who was Pastor of Pleasant Plains Pentecostal Holiness Church and numerous other churches in the area. He was also an avid fisherman who loved the outdoors.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Stewart Thomley of Lottie; two sons, Michael DeAngelo (Crystal) Thomley of Robertsdale, AL and Mark DeAngelo (Michelle) Thomley of Lottie; three brothers, Braxton (Betty) Thomley of Splinterhill, George (Retha) Thomley of Tensaw and William DeWayne (Judy) Thomley of Baraga, MI; three sisters, Betty (Conny) Brady of Mobile, AL, Nita (DeWayne) Hall of Lottie and Billie (Roy) Foster of Walnut Hill, FL; five grandchildren, Seth (Lauren) Thomley, Ryan (Allisa) Thomley, Colton (Makayla) Thomley, Joshua (Karie) Thomley and Caleb Thomley and two great grandchildren, Emberlee Thomley and Landrie Thomley.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Benjamin and Freida Lezeita Rider Thomley.
Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Joe Welch and Reverend Michael Hadley officiating. Burial will follow at the Thomley Family Cemetery in Lottie.
The family will receive friends Monday, June 5, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Larry Crenshaw, Marty Hadley, Donnie Powell, Reverend J.P. Lambert, Donnie Hicks and Lonell Peacock.
Although the family will accept flowers, they suggest memorial contributions made for funeral expenses.
