William Bartley “Bart” Mayo, age 52, born in Atmore, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, December 3, 2019 at Thomas Hospital. He was an assembler at Quincey Compressor. He loved hunting, fishing, working in the yard and Alabama Football (RTR). He could never sit still, always up working around the house and in the yard. He liked to cook and would say Beth didn’t know how to boil water before she ever met him! He didn’t like dirty cars in his yard and he would wash it if it sat in his yard too long. His favorite color was lavender and most of all he was an amazing grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elizabeth H. “Beth” Mayo of Bay Minette, AL; his children, Amanda T. “Mandie” (Ben) Terry of Little Elm, TX, Stephen F. (Rebecca) Tanner of Daphne, AL, Nicholas “Miles” (Heather Findley) Mayo of Bay Minette, AL and Jessica “Jessie Anne Mayo of Little Elm, TX; his mother, Elaine Cooper of Bay Minette, AL; his father, Robert (Lollie) Mayo of Crossroads; one sister, Kim Galloway of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, Ethan Mayo of Foley, AL and seven grandchildren, Trip, Pryce, Si, Abigail, Tanner, Truman “Wade” and Amelia Grace.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Wade Mayo.
