Walter Marvin Jenks, age 78, born in Blacksher, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at Providence Hospital. He was a Construction Superintendent for Temco.
He is survived by his wife, Lillie Levette Hammond Jenks of Bay Minette, AL; his children, John Walter (Karen) Jenks of Bay Minette, AL and Geri Yevette (David) Peacock of Bay Minette, AL; one brother, Al Jenks of Katy, TX; two sisters, Helen McDowell of Rabun and Carrie Mae Hammond of Bay Minette, AL; grandchildren, Krystle Leigh (James) Cheney of Bay Minette, AL, David Jeremiah Peacock of Bay Minette, AL, John Robert Peacock of Pensacola, FL and John Wesley Jenks of Bay Minette, AL and great grandchildren, Addison Cheney, Charlie Cheney, David Cheney, Caitlyn Cheney and Leilani Cheney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Frances Essie Ganey Jenks and a sister, Mary Ledkins.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 15, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Reverend Chester Clark, Reverend Mark Daniel and Reverend Jay Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Stockton Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday, June 14, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Tom Mitchell, Pat Newman, John Peavy, Daniel Boone, Kevin Boone ad Rick Boone.
