Veronica Ann "Vonnie" (Monk) Campbell

Veronica Ann “Vonnie” Monk Campbell, age 76, born in Langdale, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at her residence. She was a retired teacher at Bay Minette Elementary.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Jerome Campbell of Bay Minette, AL; one son, Chad (Rachael) Campbell of Bay Minette, AL; one daughter, Kristi Smith of Loxley, AL; one brother, David Monk of Beulah, AL and eight grandchildren, Kaleigh Campbell, Nathan Campbell, Eli Campbell, Jacob Campbell, Sammy Campbell, Tanner Smith, Taylor Smith and Tate Smith.

She was preceded in death by a son, Greg Campbell; her parents, George Will and Kathleen Cannon Monk and siblings, Tim Monk, George Monk and Carol Monk Smith.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Chip Starnes officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, May 11, 2019 from 12:30 p.m. until the 2:30 p.m. service at the First Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be David Monk, Chris Bouldin, Wesley Campbell, Fred Campbell, G.W. Campbell and Ray Campbell.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 19059 Greeno Road, Suite A, Fairhope, AL 36532.
