Harold Inge Bryars, Sr.

Harold Inge Bryars, Sr., was born August 28, 1922 to James Arthur Bryars, Jr. and Annie Irene Munnerlyn Bryars in Stockton, AL.  He went to be with the Lord on August 10, 2019 in Montgomery, AL. 

Harold devoted much of his life to being a public servant by serving Baldwin County for sixteen years as a County Commission and four years as County Treasurer.  He also gave himself to his family run business, Hubbard Landing that he and his brother Jimmy started in their twenties and he retired at age 91, He was a veteran of WWII where he served in the 380th Bomb Group in Australia and Okinawa.  He was a life long member of the Stockton United Methodist Church.  He loved his family, his country, and his Lord.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Evelyn Nelson Bryars.  He is survived by his sons, Hal Bryars of Daphne and Larry (Vicki) Bryars of Montgomery, three grandsons, Paul (Jill) of Daphne, Nick (Krysta) of Des Moines, John (Allison) of Opelika and three great grandsons Roc, Gus and Mac of Des Moines. 

A celebration of his life will be held at Stockton United Methodist Church on Thursday August 15, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Dr. Larry Bryars, Rev. Jim Bryars and Rev. Tim Morris officiating. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette, AL.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Stockton United Methodist Church, 53370 State Highway 59, Stockton, AL 36579 or Latham United Methodist Church, 60075 Highway 59, Stockton, AL 36579.
