Gloria Jean Byrd Melton, age 74, born in Stapleton, AL and a resident of Stockton, AL died Friday, October 4, 2019 at her residence. She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Wiley Gerald Melton of Stockton, AL; her children, Donald Gregory Jamie) Goram of Daphne, AL, James Randall Goram of Miami, FL, Wallace Gerald (Lynn) Melton of Stockton, AL and Wiley LeDon (Christy Ann) Melton of Stockton, AL; three brothers, Buddy Byrd of Stapleton, AL, Danny Byrd of Robertsdale, AL and Dennis Byrd of Robertsdale, AL; four sisters, Judy Freeman of Stapleton, AL, Geri Deere of Bay Minette, AL , Faye Henderson of Stapleton, AL and Tammy Davis of Spanish Fort, AL; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, October 7, 2019 at 11;00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Chaplain Kay Cassibry officiating. Burial will follow at Stockton Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, October 7, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Josh Goram, Jared Goram, Josh Villarreal, Levi Melton, Reid Goram and Will Teaw.
