Earl Phillips

E. Earl Phillips, age 82, born in Kinston, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, September 5, 2019. He was a Coast Guard Veteran, a retired Inspector for the State of Alabama Department of Agriculture, an avid gardener, and a Life Deacon at First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.

He is survived by his wife of fifty years, Melba Phillips, six children, Genny (Walt) Staggs, Web (Janet) Bush, Greg (Maureen) Phillips, Ken (Sonia) Phillips, April (Kelley) Penney and Wes (Amanda) Phillips all of Lower Alabama; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ocie and Univee Phillips; his first wife, Annie Pearl Phillips and his brother, Ronnie Phillips.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Bay Minette with Reverend Joel Carter officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour preceding the service at the church.
