Annie Lucile (Stewart) Joiner

Annie Lucile Stewart Joiner, age 83, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2019, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in Bon Secour to Allie and Henry Stewart. She was a retired seamstress at Manor Slack. She was the wife of Ben Dudley Joiner who preceded her in death in 2013. They shared 62 years of marriage. She was a member of Fretwell Tabernacle Church. She enjoyed visiting with her family and friends.

She is survived by an abundance of family, Mark Steven (Linda) Joiner of Stockton, AL, Barbara Ann (Gene) Milstead of Rabun, Rose Stacey of Rabun, Marlene (Jessie “Shortie”) Bell of Rabun, Rita Darlene (Tommy) Roberts of Bay Minette, AL and Teresa Lynn (Harry) Fisher of Rabun; nineteen grandchildren, Abbie, Melinda, Stephanie, Jonathan , Amber, Melissa, Tony, Rhonda, Benjamin, Jennifer, Christy, Jessica, Angie, J.D., Greg, Jessica, Hope, Jarrod and Ashton; thirty-seven great grandchildren, Allie, Scotty, Walter, Jaqueline, Grace, Johnny, Collin, Natalie, Claudia, Kaylee, Baylee, Wyatt, Kolson, Marissa, Merle, Lexi, Devan, Madison, Bryan, Hope, Kendra, Austin, Kayla, Logan, Ashley, Hayley, Ethan, Hunter, Diego, Adrianna, Daniella, Kaytlin, Brendon, Harley, Nevaeh, Savanna and Tristin; eight great great grandchildren, Zayden, Emerson, Easton, Addalynn, Mammie Lou, Brailyn, Everleigh and Tinsley and her loving dog, Jabo.

She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as “Maw Maw” She loved her family and instilled in her children strong values that they will take care of themselves and their community.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Sister Helen Stewart and Reverend Danny Ray Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Dean Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday, August 19, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Devan Bryars, Logan Joiner, Diego Flores, Ethan White, Hunter White, Merle Milstead, Jr., Austin Johnson and Walter Taylor.
